Design credentials do not get better than those of Sir Kenneth Grange. Now an octogenarian, he is the man behind classics such as the angle poise lamp, the Kodak instamatic camera and the Kenwood Chef mixer. In 2011, he was commissioned to design an ergonomic chair specifically for older people by the furniture maker Hitch Mylius. The result would not look out of place in an art gallery. With his characteristic attention to detail, Grange has tested every angle and plane of his creation and produced something that is not only comfortable and functional, but also beautiful. The Edith chair is moulded in CMHR Polyurethane foam, has a steel frame and ash legs. Made in Britain.
